Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear. The caroler retains her original green hooded cape, red skirt, white lace trim, bow and decorative wreath. There is some discoloration or spotting visible on the green cape, along with light wear to the clothing and decorations. The painted green base shows scratches, scuffs and finish loss from age and display. The underside is signed and dated 2005 and numbered 2/100. No original box or hang tag is included. Retired Byers’ Choice Woman Caroler, handmade in the United States and dated 2005.
This especially collectible example is hand-numbered 2/100, meaning it was the second figure produced in a limited edition of only 100. She wears a moss-green hooded cape over a muted red skirt with wide white floral lace trim. A white satin bow, lace cuffs and festive greenery complete her traditional Christmas appearance.
The figure measures approximately 13 inches tall and appears to be associated with the Colonial Williamsburg collection. Comparable 2005 examples are described as Colonial women holding Christmas wreaths.
