About the Artist
Professor Paul Geißler (1881–1965) was one of Germany‘s respected twentieth-century etchers, celebrated for his finely detailed architectural and landscape scenes throughout Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Central Europe. His original hand-colored etchings became popular with collectors and travelers because of their accuracy, craftsmanship, and romantic portrayal of historic European cities and castles.
Today his original etchings continue to be collected for their decorative appeal, historical importance, and exceptional printmaking quality.
